Who we are

Kidenza is a Charity specialising in fun, educational and never stuffy orchestral concerts for kids. Founded by early years music specialist Claire Lambert, supported by our board of Trustees and performed by some of the UK’s finest professional musicians.

Playing music together helps us learn to listen, to become good team players and to develop our creativity and confidence. At Kidenza we introduce children to FUN orchestral music in the hope that they will be inspired to learn an instrument and perhaps join a band or orchestra.

Our aim is to dispel the preconception of orchestral music as being stuffy and elitist and to provide affordable and inclusive opportunities for ALL young children to hear and take part in music making.

As champions for the BBC Ten Pieces we have toured schools throughout the South East of England. Impacts on children were quoted as “huge”; broadening experiences for some and bringing orchestral music to life for others.  The top four words that the children used most often were ‘Fun’, ‘Exciting’, ‘Brilliant’ and ‘Awesome’.
