Kidenza for Schools
We are a touring orchestra visiting schools throughout the UK
Offering concerts and workshops to fit the National Curriculum and Ofsted Framework, our programmes for primary and secondary schools are designed to inspire, educate and build confidence in pupils. Linking to the music curriculum (as well as PHSE, STEAM and other key subject areas) our 14-piece orchestra performs a wide range of music in short, manageable sections for children. We work with SEND leads, Head Teachers, music and non music specialists , producing accessible programmes, resources and learning opportunities for pupils and staff.
How can my school get involved?
- Book tickets to come to one of our concerts (from a small group to the whole school)
- Get together with other local schools and get us to come to you (we can offer up to 3 concerts in the school day or a combination of concerts and workshops to suit you). The more pupils who confirm the cheaper the ticket prices per head
- Have a bespoke day of concerts and workshops just for your school
Bespoke packages are available, providing any combination of workshops, master-classes and opportunities for your musicians to perform alongside our professional musicians to the rest of the school or parents. Get in touch to discuss further.
If you are an Artsmark School or thinking of applying, our concerts and activities can support you in this work.
“Just to let you know that our Year 5 and 6 children and teachers absolutely loved the concert at Sevenoaks School last week. It was a real highlight. Please pass on our appreciation to all those involved. Thank you.” C Crawford-Usher – Wateringbury School
We offer free, downloadable, high quality teaching resources to accompany our programmes and any further support you require (see list of downloads under Schools tab).
Ann Bryant (Internationally published children’s author and author or numerous primary music teaching resources), Dr Elizabeth Blackford (PhD Music Education and Head of Music at a Kent School) and Claire Lambert-Meadway – Early Years Music Specialist.
Our concerts are lively, educational, fun, interactive, multi-sensory and designed to accompany the National Curriculum.
