Securing funding is becoming more and more challenging and we are more dependent than ever on the huge generosity of our supporters to allow us to carry out our work. With your support we will be able to continue with our fabulous projects in local communities and schools, bringing the magic of a London professional orchestra to children outside the capital. Join our Kidenza family by becoming a friend or a patron or corporate sponsor and help us raise these vital funds.
Kidenza is committed to making orchestral music accessible to all, whatever their circumstances or background, and to supporting children in benefiting from the range of educational and social outcomes that arise from active engagement in music.
Active engagement increases children’s self-confidence and creativity, enabling them to cope more effectively with stress, and boosting their ability to learn. Our innovative and informal approach to the performance of orchestral music – using many of Britain’s most accomplished performers – enables us to present great music in an irreverent and accessible way to children without any prior musical knowledge.
This year Kidenza celebrated its 11th Birthday. Over the last 11 years we have inspired over 51,000 children through our professional orchestral concerts, workshops and events but we want to do so much more! 2020 has been a challenging year for everyone but, in particular for the Arts. At Kidenza this time has forced us to develop our resilience and embrace ways of extending our reach via a digital platform. In 2021 we aim to expand geographically and include the harder to reach coastal communities with projects which inspire and engage children in their own schools. We are investigating the impact of music on children’s wellbeing and monitoring the positive outcomes that the experience with our musicians brings. We are also focusing our work for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities by developing projects with SEND leads, with the aim to make our concerts more accessible and beneficial to all.
We need your help to achieve this goal. Many thanks in advance for your generosity.
"Perfect venue. Nice relaxed atmosphere and even the smallest of concert goers were made to feel very welcome. The audience participation really helped to keep her focused. There was lots of movement and opportunities to get up and down so I didn't feel she was restricted to sitting quietly for the whole session. It was just the right length too!"
